Ao acompanhar a equipe de saúde numa campanha de vacinação em área Yanomami da região do Alalaú, em Roraima, filmei o retorno dos vacinados - pela mata - à aldeia. A certa altura, fomos surpreendidos por uma tempestade de raios e trovoadas. Corremos até a aldeia, que encontramos em pé de guerra. Membros de um grupo inimigo teriam tentado flechar a caravana. Por alguns instantes, vivemos “os tempos da guerra”.

At some point, we were taken aback by lightning and thunderstorms. We ran to the village, which we found to be on a warpath. Members of an enemy group allegedly tried to attack the caravan with arrows. For a while, we experienced “the war times”.
